What iS DOUBLE DEEP RACKING?
Double Deep Racking is a variation of conventional adjustable pallet racking that allows pallets to be stored two deep rather than one deep.
This configuration reduces the number of aisles required, enabling businesses to increase storage density by up to 30% compared to standard selective pallet racking systems.
Pallets are accessed using specialist reach trucks or forklifts fitted with telescopic forks capable of retrieving loads stored in the rear position.
This makes Double Deep Pallet Racking an ideal solution for businesses handling larger quantities of the same products, where rapid access to every pallet location is not essential.
Operational setup
Requires reach, flexi or VNA trucks with deep-reach / telescopic attachments. Best suited to LIFO workflows or batches where strict FIFO isn’t critical. We size bay heights, clearances and beams to your pallet dimensions and weights.
