To house 20,000 pallets in a warehouse of 100,000 sq. ft. within a very short timescale.
Our Solution
We entered into a discovery phase with the client to ascertain pallet sizes and weights, SKU numbers and the capabilities of the client’s warehouse management system. Once we had established relatively low numbers of SKUs and fully understood the capability of their warehouse management system to manage stock, we designed a double deep pallet racking solution.
The Result / Impact
This allowed the storage of the required 20,000 pallets with adequate operational space for ‘goods in’ and marshalling, along with acceptable pallet deposit and pick rates. In total from order to completion this project took 9 weeks.
