Maximising Picking Capacity for Retail Growth

CLIENT REQUIREMENT
Due to our client’s ongoing success, they needed to store an increased number of low volume SKUs (stock keeping units) for picking.
Our Solution
Working with our partner, Pickfaces, we designed, supplied and installed a single beam level pallet racking system to carry the Storeganizer rails and columns. Storeganizer is a high density, suspended textile pocket system created to maximise vertical storage space in warehouses and distribution centres.
To resolve potential point load issues with the existing mezzanine floor we also installed construction grade timber beams.
The OUTCOME
Whilst collaborating with Pickfaces, we successfully created and installed on time, a solution which provides 102 bays of Storeganizer, with each bay having 520 individual stock picking locations, together with 121 Correx box pick locations. The new installation is improving workflow by providing a picking system with over 59,000 locations.
