What can Cantilever Racking be used for?
Cantilever racking is designed to handle long and awkward loads that are not stored in pallets. For example, goods that need to be supported across two or more arms.
Can pallet racking hold different weights?
Yes. Your installation will be designed specifically around the weight and size of the products that you need to store.
What kind of products can I store within pallet racking?
Predominantly as the name would suggest it is for the storage of palletised goods, however, we are able to supply accessories to store other types of goods such as barrels, cable drums and boxed goods on shelving etc.
What are the different types of pallet racking?
There are numerous types of pallet racking, including Wide Aisle, Very Narrow Aisle, Double Deep, Push Back, Mobile and Dynamic. For further information on these please visit our product pages.
Will you design my pallet racking and shelving installation for me?

What is the difference between pallet racking and industrial shelving?
Industrial shelving is for boxed goods which are hand picked whereas pallet racking is for storing pallets and other products which are handled by MHE (materials handling equipment).
What is wide aisle pallet racking and what is it used for?
Wide aisle pallet racking is the most commonly used pallet racking in the market due to it’s versality, adaptability and cost. It is easy to configure and available in a wide range of sizes and duties.
What is very narrow aisle (VNA) pallet racking and what is it used for?
VNA is used to maximise storage density by significantly reducing aisle width and increasing racking height, allowing more products to be stored in the same space.
What is double deep pallet racking and what is it used for?
Double deep pallet racking is used in warehouses to increase storage density by storing pallets two rows deep reducing the number of aisles needed.
What is push back racking and what is it used for?
Push back racking is a high density, last in – first out pallet storage system that uses rollers or carts to maximise warehouse space by eliminating aisles.
What is meant by the term dynamic racking and what is it used for?
Dynamic racking, which is also known as gravity flow racking, is a warehouse storage system that uses inclined rollers to move pallets or boxes by gravity toward the picking face.

Why would I need a mezzanine floor?
Hugely cost effective and practical, mezzanine floors allow you to increase floor space by maximising the usable height within your warehouse, office or retail location.
Do you need building regulations to install a mezzanine floor?
Yes. Building Regulations approval is needed for any multi-tier structure. We can help you with this.
What kind of metal is pallet racking made out of?
Pallet racking is primarily made from steel with various grades and finishes such as structural steel, hot rolled steel or galvanized steel. The specific type of steel and finish depends on the racking’s intended use and required load bearing capacity.
What is mobile pallet racking?
Mobile pallet racking is mounted on heavy duty bogeys and is a high density system that maximises space by reducing aisles while maintaining 100% direct pallet access.
How do I get my pallet racking repaired?
Simple! Give us a call and we can either arrange a full rack inspection report to identify any areas that need replacing or repairing or, if it’s a simple repair we can send one of our fully SEIRS trained installers to manage it for you.
Is there a legal requirement for me to have my pallet racking inspected?
Yes. You have a legal duty to ensure the safety and maintenance of work equipment including your racking, under laws like the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and PUWER 1998.
